Yep, it's that time of year! Time to give thanks and practice generosity. And there really is so much to be grateful for. Even if we pick apart some of life's most annoying moments (traffic, crowded stores, plans falling apart) there is almost always something we can find to be grateful for. I've recently began practicing a "zooming out" technique of gratitude. Starting with a gratitude at the most minute or basic level and working my way outwards. Here's an example:
I'm grateful for my beating heart and my eye's ability to blink, for clothes that keep me warm, for my pets who make me smile, for the roof over my head, for my loved ones, for sunshine and clean air, for all the different colors in the world and for all of my experiences on this earth so far.
