    Zen

: a state of calm attentiveness in which one's actions are guided by intuition rather than by conscious effort.

We think and think and think, so hard, most of the time in this crazy, busy, complicated world. We think about the past that is already gone. We think about a future that hasn't happened yet. We are also constantly doing - striving for perfection, getting chores done, and putting a lot of effort into just

keeping up. Maybe that's why the rare moments that we can find our Zen feel so good. In a state of zen we can just be. We let the thinking brain rest and let the intuitive mind take the wheel. We connect with ourselves and the world around us in a very direct way, we contact a sense of ease and create moments of timelessness.

What actions help you zen out in your life? They may be very simple, small moments but don't underestimate the power of this simplicity, it can pack a punch! Whether it's gardening, cooking, moving your body or creating something - make time for your zen today!

Give your thinking mind a rest by letting your intuition guide your actions
