Energy Supported Therapy

Energy flows through us in many shapes and forms.  We all have our unique beliefs about the nature/source of energy and our ability to utilize it.   I would love to explore what energy means to you...

where it lives in your body

how it affects your mind

how you can utilize it

how you would like to be able to utilize it...

... and how you would like to incorporate energy into your mental health care.

Here are a few ways we could incorporate energy into our sessions together...

Exploration of Spirituality

You may come to therapy with a set of core beliefs you would like to bring into our work together or you may be looking to use our time together to explore this issue further.

You may not be interested in spirituality at all!

Wherever you find yourself on the spirituality spectrum, I promise to be an open-minded participant in your journey.  Some examples of spirituality-related topics could include:

  • Eastern or Western philosophies

  • Chakra centers

  • Creative expression

  • Connection to a higher power or purpose

  • Intuition

  • Gratitude

Ecotherapy

Also known as Nature Therapy, this modality is based on the idea that people are connected to and impacted by the natural environment. There is a growing body of research that supports the positive impact nature can have on mental health - something that many of us already have an innate, felt sense of.

Nature can play many roles in therapy...

  • Nature can take the place of the room, helping you to feel more at peace

  • Nature can become a co-therapist, assisting me in holding space for  big emotions

  • Nature can be an inspiration, bringing up reactions to change, uncertainty, beauty, loss, etc.

  • Nature can provide an unending stream of content in which to practice mindfulness

Schedule a call today if you would like to learn more about Ecotherapy or to see if it would be a good fit for your healing journey.
